I’m sick of pictures!
There are so many other things I want to talk about, but I want to show the last batch of pictures. I’ve been quiet on the photographing front for the last week, largely because of my granddad’s memorial service and a decent snow storm that we had.
First off are the pictures from my friend’s surprise birthday party.
I know Adam through Chi Alpha, and our whole gang of XA homies made it out to surprise him. Including Bobbo! It was fun. =)
Pete and Amanda have a weekly appointment to watch The Office, so I joined them and brought over a poster of Pete’s band as his Christmas present. Then there was a pillow fight! Pete got pretty airborne, and I wished I had used some bounce on that flash to fix the shadow.
Next up was actually a series of great evenings with my friends Chris and Matt who were both in town at the same time for the first time in ages. Chris, my brother, and I hung out together with them for the first time since he got married. Rochambo was the obvious choice! That shot of Mount Mary College reminded me that you don’t have to go to Europe to get some cool scenes. Gets me thinking about doing a series on “Wisconsin Beauty” or perhaps much more narrowly defined than that.
Our work party. =)
Good times! Lotsa people skipped out – their loss. Joe stole the show on the piano but was robbed repeatedly in arm wrestling.
Len’s XA Party
I’m gonna have to get a whole lot better at posed group pictures… It goes against my pj style (that’s photojournalism, yo). =) Oh, I wanna be resourceful so check out these pictures! That picture is my favorite, but there are tons of great ones in the contest – it gets me excited and motivated to do more.Alexis refused to let me take any pictures, but then she did so well! I love this picture!
So tomorrow, I will hopefully have a change of pace for the blog. I need to reflect.
Do you like my profile pic? Esther does good work!

Look at the size of that lens! I want one of those!
my background is from that first snowfall in the beginning of december.. my roommate took the picture right in front of our apartments…
and agape east is a brand new church… the first gathering is february 5th at the upstairs of expresso christophs and quiznos on downer. it’s an interdenominational church and we pretty much just want to reach out to everyone and see what God can do through us on the east side. you can check out the website if you’d like, http://www.agapeeast.com , but i think it’s a little under construction.
p.s. looks like some pretty crazy guitar hero compantitions
Love the one of the foosball table. You do a good job with indoor lighting, I’m horrid at it so I seldom try (and so the cycle continues)
Humm, if we got 10 inches of snow? Well, seeing as we just have about 1/2 of ice right now and everyone is holded up, melting ice for water, and eating their canned goods stores…we would die. All of us.
i would just like to remind you that you are an amazing photographer.
=]
keep it up, seriously.
i’ll hire you for my wedding!
hah.. like i’m ever going to get married! =P
loving the pics, as usual ~ jen just got “guitar hero” for christmas, so i know how addictive it can be. i hope you’re sleeping occasionally and i’m totally stoked for the reflections you’ve got coming up
yaight? (slurred slang for are.you.all.right?
)
I remember Brady St. Pittsburgh has a place similar called South Side but it’s much larger and there’s a bit of Water St. there, too.
Len B.! I haven’t seen him in years…he looks younger. Must be the hair dye.
Holy crap, I totally missed this post…for over a month. I love that pic of Nate.
And tell Joe not to feel bad, Beth would probably beat me at arm wrestling too.
