  • All this spending in New Zealand over the last month is a great boost for my credit card rewards points! Who cares about the dollars I have to repay now that I've earned enough points in a month to redeem a free Hamilton Beach 12-Speed Blender! I could do this all over again just for that!

So in between packing for this weekend's ski trip I'm uploading pictures from New Zealand and skiing out west.
Caving (I did this the first week I was there, but after ski diving)
Skiing (with Esther and her Oregonian friends)

I'm sooo thankful for all these opportunities! It's really incredible. Sad news for today is that I can no longer be in this Xanga Metro. If I'm going to give the address in our family newsletter, I cannot remain in this metro, no matter how important it is to Yusen and I. Any recommendations on a new, (PG-rated) metro?

  • Politan? Dome? Retro?

  • I'm LOL at your ticker / comment.  Funny, funny.

  • Where DO you find these things? Tickers, weathermen, etc.

ryc ~ I'm kind of a big deal, you know.  LaVina has finally figured out that posting on my blog is the best way to get a hold of me! And I think TheologiansCafe was just lucky timing.  And I have no idea who that other guy is.  But, I'm thinking all the traffic must be because of the new header

Oh. And I don't get what being in the metro has to do with giving out the address in the family newsletter.  Because the Milwaukee Metro gets too racy??  Or the comments you get from the Milwaukee Metro are too weird?

And finally, if you get the blender, I think you know what to give me for Christmas.  But can I request an espresso machine instead??

This comment is long enough to cover my usual three or four on each post.  I'll just be going now.

  • Oh man, I never looked at the metro before. That is awesome! I want to join that one. Are you really, really sure you want to give your family free access to your blog?

  • Yah, it's weird about my husband. He knows I have a blog, and he could freely read it if he chose to, but to my knowledge he has never even looked at it. Either he's not curious or he just wants to let me have this privacy. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it's the latter.

  • I'll take the blender, unless you really need it, Kristen. Chris took mine when he moved out. Thanks for the sad news, Nick. Oh, and Christina and I loved the pictures. We did the ooh and ahh thing for the skiing px and were amazed at the cave ones. I'd be too claustrophobic to be in most of those cave situations. The cave formations looked like webbed feet, slime and other exotic stuff.

  • 12 speeds ... that is commitment to a blender!

  • ryc ~ I get the metro thing now, LOL. And, you're right, it wouldn't have been as funny on the phone.  Hope you're having a good time skiing ~ and staying in full possesion of your skis this time Shall we hang next week sometime?

  • I haven't updated but I've loved every minute of your time in NZ.  I was going to go to the World's Mission Summit, but I had mono.  Also, your friend Suede Knight scared me off with the whole "best xanga post ever" comment.  I mean, once you've hit the top, it's time to retire because it's all down hill from there.

  • Great pictures! Looks like a lot of fun. Oh, and the blender is totally worth the all the money you've gotta pay back. Seriously, I want one now.

  •    You could always go about 35 miles south to K-Town, although I'm apparently the only person to refer to Kenosha as 'K-Town'.

  • I was supposed to go skiing yesterday, but no - I went to class instead *sigh*

  • I'm still jealous of all your adventures!  But at least I got to stay at home and perfect my DDR skills.

  • yep yep i kep up. or is it ep?  sorry.  I'm dumb.  I've always heard how beautiful NZ is and it's cool to see it through someone's eyes.  Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your posts.  It's much better than seeing it in movies, or through travel agent's propaganda.  You're my sherpa

  • My grandmother once worked for Hamilton Beach.

  • That's probably the best blender I've ever seen. You could probably make some bad ass smoothies with that thing.
