  • AREA MAN GOES FOR THE CLIPPERS

    Sandy Castle, Staff Reporter

Milwaukee, WI - In light of growing concerns over the length of
his hair, Nicholas Crawford is reportedly getting a haircut today.
Having left the locks unclipped for over 15 months, he claims the time
has come to make a change.

    "My
hair is a critical part of my appearance, and I want to be sure that my
hair is communicating a consistent message," Crawford shared in a
candid interview with this reporter. He continued to express a profound
interest in his brown and playfully curly hair, playing with it and
twirling the ringlets between his fingers.

"There comes a day in a
man's life where the Larry [of The Three Stooges] look becomes passé
and you no longer want to have a mullet or a sloping ski jump on the
back of your head," Crawford continued. A brief glance on Crawford's
website indicates that physical appearance is a high priority for his
    life.

An acquaintance, seeking to remain anonymous, added that, "Nick's
flaming metrosexuality plays a key role in his decision-making process,
and I'm not surprised that he is looking for a better look." Other
calls to individuals given by Crawford as friends were not returned.

He plans to have his hair cut at Jose's on the intersection of 10th St. and National Avenue on Milwaukee's south side.

I'm taking my sister to her first traffic court experience. Wish her well!

Edit: She got a point ticked off, but the fine was already the minimum.
Props to Menomonee Falls for creating a low-stress environment, but I
would suggest having "World's Wildest Police Chases" playing on the
flatscreen TVs instead of the weather.

Still thinking about what I might do for a PhD. The University of Illinois is a tempting prospect that I'm checking out. Here's an article about some of their research that I would love to be involved with!

  • As a matter of fact, I am learning Russian next semester.

  • Hair cut!  NO WAY!

  • Hey, post pictures of The New Look like right away.  I'm sitting here refreshing your site every ten seconds until I see 'em.

  • Delightfully witty story about the haircut.  Enjoyed it immensly.

  • As long its still curly, i'll still be in anopen relationship with you. No chemical straightening sir!

  • Well, I can't say I'm sad to hear the locks are getting cut...I think you're right when you say a change is in order. Hey, and no worries, if chicks don't dig the hair anymore, remember you always have the big brown Crawford eyes :)

  • Love the little article you wrote about your hair.  Very entertaining.  I think you should pass on some of your writing tips to me so I can get more articles published in more magazines. :)

  • Well that was probably the most entertaining post I've read of yours in awhile. You should just do your entire blog in newspaper style. =)

  • Not that you know me (I'm a friend of Mandy's) but just a quick note to you:

Good luck on the haircut, but 10th and National is by no means the South Side of Milwaukee. As a Walker's Point resident (or Warehouse District, or 5th Ward depending on who you ask and how trendy they are) we are united in or belief that the South Side starts when you hit either the Bayview or Historic Mitchell neighborhoods(or, if you were further west, the Historic Layton). We are Near Downtown, or On The River (again, depending on who you ask and how trendy they are).

I'm a neighborhood nut. Don't listen to me.

    Cheers!

  • Wow, everyone seems to have a positive opinion on your hair cut article.  I agree with them, very funny.  And if you want to save some dough, I'll give you a free haircut, I'm not overly experienced, but you've seen my work...what can I say?  I'm gifted.

  • I enjoy encouraging everyone to pursue higher degrees even if these degrees do not lead them to any improvement in their salary or career.  Educate yourself into obscurity ... and enjoy it.  What program is drawing you?

  • Congratulations on this very special occasion. :)
