Yay! I found a fare for $193 to Nashville (TN not IN)! I'm going to the
International Society of Arboriculture's annual conference. Never been
to Nashville, maybe have driven through the state....but I'm looking
forward to it. What's it like? Should I stay at the Gaylord Opryland Resort? Is
there music or anything in Nashville? Lots of hip-hop?

Are you kidding?! Actually Nashville is a great city and Opryland resort will definitely keep you busy (but it's a ways from down town if that's where your conference is). Plenty of things to do.
Just a fountain of information....it's the host hotel, so I'd imagine it's the place to be. As a volunteer, they hook me up with a room, so I'm looking forward to that... How do you know about it? Ack, I'll IM you...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Screw Arboringculture, go to Memphis!
Is that what you're studying at UWM? I don't remember seeing a horticulture program or something related?
Brent. No one has made me laugh so hard for so long, in such a long time. Aboringculture, and to think that my first thought was to correct the speeling. You're killing me, man....alright, alright, I'll try to make it to Memphis and eat - what is it? seafood? famous crab legs?
My undergrad was urban forestry at UW-Stevens Point (where Brent is now, actually) - now I'm studying business (with Melina - rebeca4a).
Memphis is a trip from Nash-Vegas, so I'm not sure if you'll get a real shot...but if you go downtown and look in the right alley on Union near the ballpark, you'll see Rendezvous, the greatest Q joint in the history of mankind. You've been warned. An afternoon at the cradle of rock and roll at Sun Studio, a dinner of anointed Q, followed by an evening of blues on Beale Street will convince you that Nashville is downright Stevens Point-esque in comparison.
i believe i took you to the airport on this little nashville trip...in fact, you came over and finished changing my flat tire first. and, ahhhh, i got to drive the truck around for days
gosh i miss you. don't tell anyone, though.
