  • Double-sided scanners are a gift from God to attack the paper mountains
of our lives. Sales, discounts, and free shipping are further
    blessings.

  • Cool.  Scanning is definitely the most tedious of all computer projects, mostly because it consumes all the system resources, and you can't even play Spider Solitaire in the background.  I don't suppose your new toy processes piles of photographs?  The "paper mountains" I have nagging at the back of my schedule are all pictures.  ...If they made a scanner that would automatically save (with accurate, descriptive file names) all the images it created, I'd go for that - discounts or not.

  • It can scan pictures, sure, but it's intended for "business" purposes meaning documents and mixed text and photos...the curved paper path is less than desirable for photos, but the flatbed is always available. It does slides, too, but the "photo and slide" scanners have the dust removal features and the like.

    Descriptive file names.

  • We got a new printer / scanner / copy thingy...  Still won't save / name my files for me but I CAN use other programs while it's running.  I'll take what I can get...
