  • Thursday was:
    Tree climbing by day:
A monstrous honeylocust that I didn't want to
tackle the day before. This is the first time that I've climbed a tree
    in a snowstorm!

    Salting by afternoon:
I took a pitstop and got a new lens in my glasses for $85 from Lenscrafters. It was out of warranty.

Hasty homework attempts by late afternoon: Honestly, if my homeworking
doing skills were only half as good as my homework avoiding skills!

    Class presentations by early evening:
This leadership class is coming around, and I'm starting to get something out of it.

Gunnar's science and religion lecture by night: He gives a lecture at
Marquette every couple of weeks, and he does a great job of talking
about science, philosophy, and religion. He takes a very open approach,
but I missed most of it due to the previous item on this list.

    And George Webb's by midnight:
It was quite a lot of fun, and I think I
made two friends. Kristen was demanding, and Amanda knew that Stihl was
a chainsaw. Quality. Then I pulled my phone out and had missed 5 calls,
2 voicemails, and a text message. Oops!

  • You never climbed a tree in a snowstorm? And you call yourself an arborist.

I would only be impressed if you climbed a tree in a huricane with volcanic magma at the base of the tree.

  • Coming right up!

  • you know...i didn't even know that Linux used a penguin, hahaha... i just saw it on the web and liked it. :)

  • Boy was THIS a momentous occasion.  Seriously.  Who knew?  I AM NOT DEMANDING.  In fact, I demand that you retract that statement!

We HAVE come a really long way since this started, and I am so blessed, and so grateful, to have you around.  I hope that, on the good days, you know I try to be for you what you are for me ~ a wonderful, Christ-driven, centered, balanced, realistic, loving friend.

Ack ack! Entirely too sentimental! I feel like we're re-living past experiences here!

(P.S. I drive by that George Webb's at least once a week, and always give a little mental shout-out to that evening )

  • <3 to you. Just cuz.

  • and here i thought i was missing an anniversary. well, i did miss THE anniversary, but perhaps as the years go on, I'll be less sentimental and won't feel the need to notice this annual event.

anyway. still grateful for you, always.
