  • Bush Regales Dinner Guests With Impromptu Oratory On Virgil’s Minor Works
    Which surprised me, actually.

    Housewife Charged In Sex-For-Security Scam

I wonder how often this kind of crime really happens.

‘Midwest’ Discovered Between East And West Coasts

“The Midwestern Aborigines are ruddy, generally heavy-set folk, clad in
plain, non-designer costumery,” Eldred said. “They tend to live in
simple, one-story dwellings whose interiors are decorated with Hummels
and ‘Bless This House’ needlepoint wall-hangings….”

    Just the facts ma’am.

  • I bit my tongue today!
Accidentally. In the literal sense. Eating a Cousin’s sub sandwich
while driving. The last time I had one of these 15″ puppies, the second
half collapsed onto the floor while I was braking going downhill, so I’m
batting 0-2 on the second half of these sandwiches. Btw, Chris couldn’t contain his laughter.

A thought occurred to me as they
rarely do in days like these. If I were bleeding from the mouth, maybe
a cop would let me off more easily! I’ll have to experiment with this
before going mainstream, but I think a keeping a mouthful’s worth of
ketchup packets could do the trick in a jam. Or two mouthfuls so in
case I got pulled over twice in one night again.
    Full scheming mode.

I just re-read this and realized how hard it must be to
learn English. Especially the speeling; and grammer. OK, maybe it’s the
    writer.

  • Upon
further review…these pictures do look like they’re computer
    generated!
But they’re not! I was playing with the aperture and shutter
    speed
so they look even more impressive than
    they did in person, I
    suppose.
    Anyways, that is all…

All taken with a 1 second shutter and the F-stop set to 8.0.

  • Yay! I found a fare for $193 to Nashville (TN not IN)! I’m going to the
International Society of Arboriculture’s annual conference. Never been
to Nashville, maybe have driven through the state….but I’m looking
forward to it. What’s it like? Should I stay at the Gaylord Opryland Resort? Is
there music or anything in Nashville? Lots of hip-hop?

  • Rain, rain, go away,
    Come again a school day.

Watched a chick flick with the mom and sisters today! I cried [just a little bit]. It’s such a good movie, My Life.

  • We were fireworking it this evening.

Chris’s head was in the way! The Milwaukee Art Museum is the last picture…

  • I woke up inordinately early this morning, for a Saturday at least, and
played badmitton for hours with these sweethearts. Then Beth and Mom
joined in…then I finally made it to work. After a while, though, I
told the girls that they were using the wrong rackets so we swapped
    them out for badmitton rackets…

Strawberry picking season is drawing to a close! Aren’t they cute?

  • A follow-up story on the Central Park jogger.

Most or many are probably familiar with her, but it was sobering and
stirring to read about her again. The online version here is longer
than what was published in the paper, but I agree that one’s
personality can have a profound impact on recovery. Still a sad story.

  • I just caught a glimpse of the rest of my life. Conflict management; and I better love it!

This comes because of a day with entirely too much negotiation but a sure realization that this is an increasing trend. If I’m ever going to own a business, I’ll probably find myself at another jobsite like today, going back and forth with the customer over how things are going. Fortunately, in the end, the customer was happily beaming when all was said and done, even though I was a little short of breath…
