Nick: Can you believe that a group is in the works that’s titled, “We Used to Like Nick”?
Beth (sister): No! Hahaha…. They should get a website.
Nick: They will! Can you imagine that?
Beth: They’ll probably say, “You got over Nick? Really? Therapy? OMG! I found group counseling to be the most effective!”
Nick: You can be the resident advisor.
Beth: I’d say, “You just need to breathe, honey, and think about your future.”
Thought I’d share that.
The music theatre production at St. Norbert in Green Bay was awesome! Casey had two
parts in it, and I kept reading about it on her journal. Then last
night, I told Christina and Zoe that we’d do something fun together -
were they ever thrilled! It held close to the Disney version and
delivered an excellent show.
I always roll with cuties.
Gaston was great. Unfortunately, I have to explain to my sisters how he
is NOT the kind of guy to look for in the real world… More to come on
that topic, actually…
Afterwards, we swung by Lambeau Field for a photo-op since they had never seen it. I was scoring a lot of brownie points…
Expensive, though! I know AShadeofGray will have no sympathy, but I
dropped well over $100 to see this thing! I’m gonna have to let the
wallet recover for a couple hours…
[1] My sister Beth put a model together of herself and liked that combo. Who wouldn’t.
[2] Hate to see her go… But that hair is awesome.
[3] Waaay better calves than mine.
[4] Can’t skirt the issue. That’s a good look.
[1] I should show my barber this picture.
[2] Ideal. Someone (no names)
serendipitously made the exact same combination but with facial hair.
Same clothes, same hair, same build. Haha… I made it first!
[3 & 4] After this 30 hours of exercise in 30 days thing is over, I better look like this.

Many thanks to Maryann for linking to this in her latest entry! Hours of entertainment to say the least!
Titanium Salutes, and lots of ‘em!
F/8 – 2 second exposure
I think I beat Amanda…
It’s a classical week for me.
Today, I was saving elm trees again! Dutch elm disease wiped out many of our mature elm trees in the US in the middle of the last century – taking out once beautiful boulevards and neighborhood canopies.
My job is to preventatively treat trees to protect them from the disease by injecting them. You can read about it here. It basically requires setting things up like this:
Then you sleep. Cuz it could take 3 hours for 40+ gallons to get absorbed by the tree. Today, though, with the rain, the trees were pumping like crazy! We had 4 trees done by noon, despite the hail and 50+ mph winds! Woo hoo!
Yes. I <3 trees.
Picture Posts as Requested.
Some geraniums from this week.
I had fun with the fireplace last night. Someone was chatting away on
the phone, exchanging all the dirt on me, so I had to occupy myself,
you know… I’m easily amused. I
thought the phone pic was cool.
Edit: That would be Kristen holding up my phone. Crank up the brightness on your monitors, folks!
The concert-in-a-tent was fine, but I was sick of the white spotlight that ruined every picture… Get this! It was a Missouri synod Lutheran
church that hosted it! There were people raising their hands! Luya! I
had no idea they allowed that – they certainly have a huge lead on the
ELCA folks.
Had a lot of fun up there, too – playing catch with a kid who found Matt. Chilling with the two lovebirds. Oh, Lars! I know you read this, do you recognize Adam through XA?
